RAI Amsterdam noticed that they were spending more and more time gathering content from exhibitors. By making the websites of its own exhibition titles function as a platform for communities, many operations that were previously performed manually have been automated, reducing the risk of errors and the time taken.
In the run-up to its own exhibitions, RAI Amsterdam collects a lot of content from exhibitors in various disciplines, such as catalogs, press releases and white papers. This content was scattered among the various titles. Moreover, in many cases the information was only available in the run-up to and during the exhibition in question. After that, it became silent again. This had to change.
Platform for communities
The websites of the own exhibition titles had to function as a platform for communities. Fair exhibitors should be able to supply content that RAI Amsterdam can publish on its platform. In this way, the exhibition sites would remain attractive throughout the year, while exhibitors would gain exposure. Initially, RAI Amsterdam wanted to implement this plan within the existing web platform. On the front end, for visitors, this was not a problem. However, the back end, the portal to which exhibitors had to submit their content, posed a question for RAI Amsterdam. Ternair had an appropriate answer.
"It is pleasant to work with Ternair. They think from the business and not just from the technology. Moreover, they can switch quickly, which is important for us. With Ternair's solution we have a real-time connection to the existing systems, with the big advantage that all data is stored in one place and is always up-to-date."
