Vakmedianet has won the DDMA Customer Data Award 2016. The jury chose Vakmedianet, publisher of over thirty trade magazines in the fields of HR, finance and healthcare, over the other nominees Marlies Dekkers, Centraal Beheer Achmea and Essent.
The Customer Data Award is presented annually by DDMA, the trade association for data-driven marketing. The prestigious award recognizes the organization that is most successful in deploying customer data on an operational, tactical and strategic level. The nominees were judged by an expert jury on various criteria, including return on investment, anchoring in the organization and the impact of data use on customers.
Customer as a starting point
The four nominees all stood out positively for the way they use customer data for relevant, personalized communication across channels. They also all showed that the professional application of data is increasingly on the management agenda and is being embedded within the organization. Winner Vakmedianet is leading the way in this development, according to the jury.
Kees Groenewoud (Cmotions), jury chairman of the Customer Data Award: “Vakmedianet has succeeded in creating a culture that takes the customer as its starting point. As a result of a change process initiated in 2013, a completely new way of working has emerged within the publishing house. The traditional broadcast strategy has disappeared; today content creation and distribution based on customer knowledge and customer needs take center stage. Vakmedianet's approach is really an example for the whole sector and inspires other companies to use data in a targeted way in the dialogue with customers.”
